This book - an anthology of the best norwegian song lyrics the last 40 years - met with a certain demand for both the understanding of the phenomenon as a part of literature, and a need for the collection of the best texts sampled togehter in 14 categories with 14 examples all put together chronologically inside the thematic categories. It was a big job to get hold of all the material. But then again, the book filled in an empty space in the norwegian landscape of literature.
